Ziply: How It Plays and What to Expect
One of the puzzle titles we keep beside the insurance reading, sized for a short pause.
If the frame stays black, reload once - a slow connection is the usual cause. The game itself is served by its publisher.
About Ziply
Ziply is a highly addictive, minimalist logic puzzle game. Your goal is simple: connect numbers in sequential order (1, 2, 3...) to draw colorful pipes and fill every single empty tile on the board. With 1,500 handcrafted levels spread across three grid sizes (Classic 5x5, Advanced 6x6, and Master 8x8), Ziply will push your brain to the limit. Want an extra challenge?
Ziply asks for very little: a screen, a browser and whatever time you have. Nothing about this page changes your insurance reading, and nothing on it is tracked, gated or sold.
Treat this as the pause it is meant to be: two rounds, then back to the page you were actually reading.
How to Play
- Press play on the frame above. Ziply starts in the same tab; no window pops up and nothing downloads.
- Controls, as published with the game: desktop click and drag your mouse to draw pipes.
- Give it one full round before deciding. Most of these open slowly and get interesting once the board is half-full.
- Close the tab when you are done. There is no save file to manage and no account to log out of.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Ziply
Do I need to download or install anything to play Ziply?
No. Ziply is an HTML5 game that runs entirely inside the web page, so opening this page is the whole installation. If any site asks you to install a downloader, extension or .exe file before playing, close that page - a real browser game never needs one.
How do I play Ziply in fullscreen?
Look for the fullscreen icon in the game's own toolbar, or press the fullscreen key your browser offers (often F11). Maximising the window and setting browser zoom to 100 percent also gives you the largest, correctly scaled view.
Can I play Ziply with friends or other players?
Some browser games include live multiplayer, but Ziply is a single-player title. A friendly way to compete is to compare high scores with someone playing on their own device, since scores are saved locally for each player.
Why did my progress in Ziply disappear?
Local scores are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browsing data, playing in a private or incognito window, or using guest mode all wipe that storage. Play in a normal window and avoid the clear-cache button if a high score matters to you.
Is Ziply good for a short break?
That is exactly what it is designed for. Rounds are short, nothing needs to be downloaded, and there is no account or commitment - open the page, play a few minutes, close it. Many players keep Ziply open in a pinned tab for exactly this purpose.
Is Ziply free to play?
Yes. Ziply runs completely free in your browser - there is no purchase, no subscription and no paywall between you and the game. You only pay with a little patience for ads, which is what keeps the whole catalogue free.
Why did Ziply freeze after I switched to another tab or app?
Browsers pause background tabs to save resources, and some games lose focus as a result. Return to the tab, click once inside the game area to restore focus, and if the session still looks stuck, a fresh reload is the simplest fix - your locally saved score stays.
Does Ziply have in-app purchases or hidden costs?
No. There is nothing to buy inside Ziply - no energy systems, no premium currency and no pay-to-win items. The game is supported by advertising on the page, which is why it can stay free for everyone.
How do I restart Ziply or start a fresh run?
Most rounds restart from the game's own menu or the restart button on the end screen. If you want a completely clean state, reload the page. Clearing local storage resets saved scores too, but remember that also erases your best results.
How much mobile data does Ziply use?
Very little. A browser game like Ziply typically transfers a few megabytes when it loads and almost nothing while you play. That is far lighter than streaming video, so it is fine even on a limited data plan.
Does Ziply work well on an older laptop?
Yes - casual HTML5 games are deliberately light on graphics and memory. Keep browser zoom at 100 percent, close heavy tabs, and make sure hardware acceleration is on. If it still stutters, a different browser is the quickest fix.

The daily rhythm of Ziply has replaced my doomscrolling habit. Ten minutes, a couple of better scores, done. Cheaper than a coffee and twice as satisfying.

My seven-year-old asked for a 'big kid game' and Ziply turned out to be perfect - easy controls, friendly art, nothing scary, and no chat with strangers. She plays on the tablet, I play on my phone.

Ziply is my standing-in-queue game now. One hand, portrait mode, a round takes two minutes. It has quietly replaced the 40 minutes of daily doomscrolling and I feel better about my phone.

I have a pinned tab of Ziply open at work (do not tell my boss) and play a round between meetings. It is the perfect five-minute reset button. Simple, cheerful, free.
