About DONT SPLASH

Dont Splash is a 3D horror platformer set in an endless abandoned pool. Jump from tile to tile through the fog and find the exit, but never fall in: a blind creature lives in the water and hunts by sound. One splash and it comes straight for you!

DONT SPLASH asks for very little: a screen, a browser and whatever time you have. Nothing about this page changes your insurance reading, and nothing on it is tracked, gated or sold.

If you came here from a coverage guide, go back to it after a round or two. This is the short-round shelf we keep beside the short-term cover guides, not a replacement for it.

How to Play

  1. Press play on the frame above. DONT SPLASH starts in the same tab; no window pops up and nothing downloads.
  2. Controls, as published with the game: solo move WASD look mouse jump space run shift.
  3. Expect the first round to be a warm-up. The rules are simple; the difficulty sits in the pacing, not in the buttons.
  4. Close the tab when you are done. There is no save file to manage and no account to log out of.

Before You Press Play

Leave the quote tab open beside it. The point is to return to it, not to replace it.
Sound off is the default in most offices and open-plan kitchens. Keep it that way.
Two minutes means two minutes. Watch the clock once and then stop watching it.

Frequently Asked Questions About DONT SPLASH

My device gets warm and the battery drains while playing DONT SPLASH. Is that normal?

Active gameplay makes the processor work harder, so some warmth and battery use are normal for graphically busy games. If the device feels uncomfortably hot, pause and let it cool for a few minutes, and close background apps so the game is not competing for resources.

How do I play DONT SPLASH in fullscreen?

Look for the fullscreen icon in the game's own toolbar, or press the fullscreen key your browser offers (often F11). Maximising the window and setting browser zoom to 100 percent also gives you the largest, correctly scaled view.

Are there ads in DONT SPLASH, and can I block them?

Ads keep the game free, and they are placed around the game rather than inside it. An aggressive blocker sometimes breaks game scripts as a side effect, so if the game stops loading, add an exception for this site and reload.

Can I play DONT SPLASH on a school or work Chromebook?

Usually yes. Chromebooks run everything through the browser, which is exactly what an HTML5 game like DONT SPLASH needs. Lighter 2D titles run especially well on modest hardware, and nothing has to be installed, which suits managed devices.

Is it safe to play DONT SPLASH online?

Yes. Browser games run inside a security sandbox and cannot install software or touch your files. The real risk on free gaming sites is fake download buttons, so decline any prompt to install something, never grant notification or camera permissions, and keep your browser updated.

Does DONT SPLASH have in-app purchases or hidden costs?

No. There is nothing to buy inside DONT SPLASH - no energy systems, no premium currency and no pay-to-win items. The game is supported by advertising on the page, which is why it can stay free for everyone.

Why did my progress in DONT SPLASH disappear?

Local scores are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browsing data, playing in a private or incognito window, or using guest mode all wipe that storage. Play in a normal window and avoid the clear-cache button if a high score matters to you.

Which browser works best for DONT SPLASH?

Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari handles it well. The important things are an up-to-date browser, JavaScript enabled and hardware acceleration switched on. If one browser misbehaves, opening the same page in another is the fastest diagnosis.

I play DONT SPLASH every day - will I run out of content?

Casual games are built around repeatable loops rather than a story that ends, so the same round stays enjoyable for the small improvements you make each time. Daily play is the intended rhythm, and your local best scores keep track of how far you have come.

Do I need to download or install anything to play DONT SPLASH?

No. DONT SPLASH is an HTML5 game that runs entirely inside the web page, so opening this page is the whole installation. If any site asks you to install a downloader, extension or .exe file before playing, close that page - a real browser game never needs one.

Why did DONT SPLASH freeze after I switched to another tab or app?

Browsers pause background tabs to save resources, and some games lose focus as a result. Return to the tab, click once inside the game area to restore focus, and if the session still looks stuck, a fresh reload is the simplest fix - your locally saved score stays.

What Players Say About DONT SPLASH

★★★★★Rachel P. · November 2025

My seven-year-old asked for a 'big kid game' and DONT SPLASH turned out to be perfect - easy controls, friendly art, nothing scary, and no chat with strangers. She plays on the tablet, I play on my phone.

★★★★☆Erik N. · June 2026

Played DONT SPLASH on a train with spotty wifi and it kept working after the initial load, which saved my sanity. Solid little game, runs on anything, no nonsense.

★★★★★Grace W. · June 2026

Been through a lot of browser games this year and DONT SPLASH is one of the keepers. It does one thing and does it well. Four stars only because I want more variety in later stages.

★★★★★Priya S. · October 2025

I have played DONT SPLASH for two months now and it still finds ways to surprise me with tougher rounds. The difficulty curve is genuinely well tuned - hard enough to matter, never unfair.

★★★★★Ivy C. · July 2026

No pressure, no timers breathing down my neck, nothing to buy - DONT SPLASH is exactly the low-stakes comfort game I wanted. I play it while half-watching TV and it never punishes me for it.
