Dead City: Zombie Survival - No Install, No Account, One Tab

One of the adventure titles we keep beside the insurance reading, sized for a short pause.

If the frame stays black, reload once - a slow connection is the usual cause. The game itself is served by its publisher.

About Dead City: Zombie Survival

The city fell three days ago. Survive the night in a ruined, zombie-infested city, scavenge weapons and supplies, fight off hordes of the dead and find a way out before its too late. Explore abandoned streets, a forest camp and an industrial zone, use your flashlight in the dark and drive vehicles to escape. How long can you survive?

Dead City: Zombie Survival asks for very little: a screen, a browser and whatever time you have. Nothing about this page changes your insurance reading, and nothing on it is tracked, gated or sold.

Treat this as the pause it is meant to be: two rounds, then back to the page you were actually reading.

How to Play

  1. Press play on the frame above. Dead City: Zombie Survival starts in the same tab; no window pops up and nothing downloads.
  2. Controls, as published with the game: WASD - move shift - sprint space - jump.
  3. Do not chase a score on the first try. The second attempt is the serious one.
  4. Close the tab when you are done. There is no save file to manage and no account to log out of.

Before You Press Play

Nothing here saves. That is a feature, not a bug - the next session starts clean.
Choose by round length, not by thumbnail. A game that ends in three minutes is worth more than one that swallows an hour.
If the first round goes badly, stop. Short games are not worth a second attempt if the first one annoyed you.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dead City: Zombie Survival

Are there ads in Dead City: Zombie Survival, and can I block them?

Ads keep the game free, and they are placed around the game rather than inside it. An aggressive blocker sometimes breaks game scripts as a side effect, so if the game stops loading, add an exception for this site and reload.

Is it safe to play Dead City: Zombie Survival online?

Yes. Browser games run inside a security sandbox and cannot install software or touch your files. The real risk on free gaming sites is fake download buttons, so decline any prompt to install something, never grant notification or camera permissions, and keep your browser updated.

Do I need to create an account to play Dead City: Zombie Survival?

No account, email or sign-up is required. You click and play. Progress such as high scores is saved locally in your own browser instead of on a server, so there is nothing to register for.

Why won't Dead City: Zombie Survival load? I just see a blank area.

A blank rectangle almost always means the browser needs a refresh or an update. Close your other tabs, reload the page with a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R), and make sure hardware acceleration is switched on in your browser settings, since many games rely on WebGL. Testing in a second browser tells you quickly whether the issue is the game or your setup.

Can I play Dead City: Zombie Survival with friends or other players?

Some browser games include live multiplayer, but Dead City: Zombie Survival is a single-player title. A friendly way to compete is to compare high scores with someone playing on their own device, since scores are saved locally for each player.

How is Dead City: Zombie Survival different from the app store versions of similar games?

Nothing to install, nothing updates in the background, and nothing takes storage space. You also avoid the typical mobile monetisation of forced ads between every round. The trade-off is that progress is saved in the browser rather than synced to an account.

Is Dead City: Zombie Survival free to play?

Yes. Dead City: Zombie Survival runs completely free in your browser - there is no purchase, no subscription and no paywall between you and the game. You only pay with a little patience for ads, which is what keeps the whole catalogue free.

Is Dead City: Zombie Survival suitable for children?

Yes, Dead City: Zombie Survival is family-friendly content with no violence beyond cartoon levels and no chat with strangers. Parents who want extra control should use their browser's family or supervised-profile settings, since those work across every site a child visits.

Why does Dead City: Zombie Survival run slowly or feel laggy?

Stutter is usually memory pressure, not the game itself. Close idle tabs and background programs, pause heavy browser extensions such as large filter lists, and lower the in-game quality setting if there is one. On laptops and phones, letting a warm device cool down for a few minutes also restores normal frame rates.

Why did Dead City: Zombie Survival freeze after I switched to another tab or app?

Browsers pause background tabs to save resources, and some games lose focus as a result. Return to the tab, click once inside the game area to restore focus, and if the session still looks stuck, a fresh reload is the simplest fix - your locally saved score stays.

How do I play Dead City: Zombie Survival in fullscreen?

Look for the fullscreen icon in the game's own toolbar, or press the fullscreen key your browser offers (often F11). Maximising the window and setting browser zoom to 100 percent also gives you the largest, correctly scaled view.

Can I play Dead City: Zombie Survival on a school or work Chromebook?

Usually yes. Chromebooks run everything through the browser, which is exactly what an HTML5 game like Dead City: Zombie Survival needs. Lighter 2D titles run especially well on modest hardware, and nothing has to be installed, which suits managed devices.

My seven-year-old asked for a 'big kid game' and Dead City: Zombie Survival turned out to be perfect - easy controls, friendly art, nothing scary, and no chat with strangers. She plays on the tablet, I play on my phone.
